Child ID Kit - Best Practices - (SPANISH) 2018

Every parent of a young child needs this. It is a checklist of things you need to do and have ready in the case the unthinkable happens and your child goes missing. It describes how to take proper pictures, what else should be kept ready, and how to create an emergency information kit. In PDF format, you can read it or print it. For more information, visit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at http://www.missin...om/childidand we have placed the two documents on our site as well in both English and Spanish (ENG/ESP) for your convenience.

THIS IS THE SPANISH VERSION IN PDF FORMAT.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR CHILD IS MISSING:

*If your child is missing from home, search » closets » piles of laundry » in and under beds » inside large appliances » vehicles—including trunks » and anywhere else that a child may crawl or hide.

*IMMEDIATELY call your local law-enforcement agency and provide them with your up-to-date Child ID Kit. If you don't have one, call them anyway!

After you have reported your child missing to law enforcement, call the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® at 1-800-THE-LOST® (1-800-843-5678).

If your computer is equipped with a microphone and speakers, you may talk to one of our Hotline operators via www.missingkids.org online. The NCMEC works with other agencies to find your child.

My personal advice: STAY OFF THE PHONE LINE YOU GAVE TO POLICE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. If you have a second line or another (Friends?) phone, use it instead. That way the police can get in touch with you when they need to.
